Base Tea Tasting Guide

For a Strong Brew to have with milk try - Assam PF, Kenya PF, Ceylon BOP or Assam GFBOP.  These can be blended together, but it is best to avoid mixing them with the larger leaf teas.

For a Strong Brew that takes a little milk try - Assam Tippy Leaf, Ceylon OP or Darjeeling Leaf.  These can also blend well together or with other whole leaf teas like the China Blacks to give your blend more body.

For a Lighter Brew that can be drunk with or without milk, China Black teas make an excellent base for adding flavours to. China Black teas blend well with each other and with Oolong.

Green Tea is a perfect light base to layer flavour and aromatics onto. It is best not to blend it with the black teas.

Rooibos is a great caffeine free alternative to tea that can be drunk with or without milk. It blends well with fruit infusions and herbs.
